We want you to have everything you need to plan your perfect day out at Funkytown Adventure Centre. So, we’ve pulled together a list of our most FAQs. If there’s anything we’ve forgotten to cover, let us know and we’ll add it to the list.
How do I get there?
Funkytown Adventure Center is located a convenient half an hour’s from Cork’s city center.
By car, simply head for the main beach car park in Fountainstown. Park is free of charge.
To reach us by bus, you can catch the 220X bus from South Mall in Cork.
This will drop you adjacent to the car park. Click here to view timetable.
Then head by foot straight to our reception at Morrissey’s Slip. A 200 meters walk from the car park on the left hand side down the slip.
We have changing rooms and somewhere to store your bags when your on the water.
What do I need to wear?
You just need to bring your swimsuit, towel and a pair of old shoes you don’t mind getting wet (old runners are perfect). All safety equipment is provided and you can hire wetsuits as part of your booking package. Or save money and bring your own if you have one.

What if the weather is bad?
At Funkytown, your safety is our number one priority. We regularly assess weather conditions and where we feel it poses a safety risk, we reserve the right to cancel at short notice. We’ll do our best to communicate this with you as soon as possible, so you can make alternative arrangements.
